Tell us about your education and continuing training.
I am a certified Usui Reiki Master and an Animal & Pet Reiki Practitioner. In 2024 I received my Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master certification as well. I hold a certification as an End-of-Life Doula; I find that energy work is a beautiful modality to offer at the end of life, and to be able to help others during this time is an incredible honor. Stepping into the future, I have been looking into expanding my skill set. Craniosacral therapy seems to be a very gentle but effective physical modality to help rebalance the whole body, something I feel would complement energy work.

How did you discover Reiki and what attracted you to it?
My first experience with Reiki was over a decade ago, and to be honest, that experience was nothing to write home about. It wasn’t until several years ago, when I was in a medical and spiritual hiatus, that I decided to look into other healing modalities. I came across Reiki once again; this time it changed my life. Reiki energy work helped me to realign with my authentic self and rebalance and regain harmony physically, mentally, and spiritually. It was after those experiences with Reiki and my personal investment in myself that I decided I wanted to help others in the same way—that’s where my education began. The principles of Reiki energy work really spoke to me, and I found that I could use Reiki in all aspects of my life, forever a student.

What do you want people to know about their energetic bodies and self-care?
Some may say we are energetic beings having a human experience. Our energetic bodies hold a deep intelligence that is still vastly unknown. Reiki taps into our energetic body and helps heal emotional, physical, and spiritual processes and traumas. By rebalancing and unblocking our chakras (energetic wheelhouses within the body), the energy is able to flow freely and deeply heal. Reiki is acupuncture without the needles and massage without touch—the best way I can describe it. When Reiki becomes a part of your self-care routine, you are giving yourself a chance to unlock your body's inner pharmacist—empowering the body back to its natural light and strength. Self-care isn’t about judgment on oneself or a score of our limitations, but more of an embrace of our own inner strength, uniqueness, self-love, and humanity.

What is your favorite part of practicing Reiki?
Working with people and helping them to find inner strength is my favorite part of practicing Reiki. Each session is a new experience, and I become a student every time. Practicing Reiki gives me the ability to meet people exactly where they are on their life’s path, bringing the possibility of growth, harmony, and light to every client.

Favorite thing to do outside of bodywork?
Outside of bodywork, this chapter of my life is packed with motherhood and all that comes with raising beautiful humans. Beyond that, I love being out in nature collecting rocks and seashells when I can. I love cooking food and sharing with friends and neighbors. I love to travel and explore new areas and cultures. I am enthusiastically committed to experiencing as much as possible during this lifetime.
